1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between you (the “Client”) and Space to Breathe (“I”, “me”, or “my”) for the provision of home organisation and decluttering services. By booking a service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services Provided

My services help you declutter, organise, and optimise your living spaces through tailored advice, hands-on support, and follow-up as agreed. I offer:

  • In-person and virtual consultations

  • Decluttering and sorting of possessions

  • Organisation of wardrobes, living areas, garages, and other household spaces

  • Creation of practical storage and organisational systems

  • Removal of items for donation, recycling, rubbish, or resale

  • Guidance on maintaining order long-term

    Please note that services do not include deep cleaning, removal of hazardous materials or large items, or work outside the agreed scope.

3. Bookings and Payment

  • Payment is due in full at the time of booking or in agreed instalments.

  • Instalment arrangements must be agreed in writing before the first session.

  • Payment can be made via online payment or other agreed method.

  • Any outstanding balance must be paid before the final session.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Virtual Consultation: please let me know as soon as possible if you wish to cancel or reschedule your virtual consultation.

  • In-Home Session: Full details of our cancellation and rescheduling policy can be found on the website.

  • If I must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you’ll be offered a prompt reschedule or full refund (if applicable).

  • I shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing services due to circumstances beyond my reasonable control, such as extreme weather, illness, transport disruptions, or other unforeseen events.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Please ensure I have safe, clear access to your space at the agreed time (including parking if needed).

  • Kindly secure valuables, important documents, and any sensitive items before my visit. Please also inform me of any fragile, valuable, or irreplaceable items.

  • You agree to be present (or have someone authorised present) during sessions, unless agreed otherwise.

  • I will support you with choosing what to donate/discard but you remain responsible for all final decisions, and I can only remove items with your clear permission.

6. Health and Safety

  • Your safety and mine are paramount. Please inform me in advance of any hazards, allergies, or pets in the home.

  • I will always work with care, but I cannot move very heavy, unsafe, or hazardous items and reserve the right to decline a task if I feel it poses an unacceptable risk to health or safety.

  • I do not handle hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, biological waste).

7. Liability

  • I take great care during my work, but I cannot be held liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or any items disposed of at your request.

  • While I handle belongings with care, I accept no liability for damage to items where reasonable care has been taken.

  • My services are advisory and supportive in nature; you remain responsible for final decisions regarding possessions.

  • I hold public liability insurance for accidental injury or damage during our work, any claim will be limited to the amount recoverable under this insurance.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • All client information and property details are treated with strict confidentiality.

  • Please refer to the privacy policy for details on how your data is collected, used, and stored while using our website and services.

  • I comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 in handling all client data.

9. Marketing and Communications

With your consent, I may use your contact details to share updates, offers, or information about my services. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting me. Your details will never be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

10. Photography and Marketing

  • Before-and-after photographs may be taken only with your consent.

  • If you agree, images may be used for marketing (e.g., website, social media) with identifying details removed.

  • You may withdraw consent for future use of images at any time by contacting me in writing.

11. Intellectual Property

  • All branding, images, and written materials associated with Space to Breathe remain my property.

  • Any written plans, checklists, or resources I provide remain my intellectual property unless otherwise agreed.

  • You may use these for your personal use but not reproduce or share them for commercial purposes without explicit permission.

12. Complaints and Disputes

  • I am committed to your satisfaction. If you have any concerns or complaints, please contact me within seven days of your service. I’ll do my utmost to resolve any issues promptly and amicably.

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled in the courts of England.

13. Amendments

  • I may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on the website or upon request.

  • Changes will not affect bookings already confirmed unless required by law.
