1. Services

Space to Breathe provides home organisation and decluttering services, including consultations, decluttering, sorting, organising, storage solutions and agreed removal of items for donation, recycling, rubbish or resale.

Services do not include deep cleaning, hazardous materials, large/heavy-item removal, repairs or work outside the agreed scope.

2. Booking & Payment

Payment is due in full when booking unless an instalment plan has been agreed in writing.

Quotes are valid for 90 days. Once a booking is confirmed, the agreed price will not change unless you request additional work/time or we otherwise agree.

An in-person consultation fee may be deducted from a booking made within 30 days. Mileage charges are not deductible.

Additional time may be agreed on the day, subject to availability, and will be charged at the agreed hourly rate.

3. Block Bookings

Block bookings are available in agreed hour blocks and are valid for six months from purchase. Hours are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellation of block-booking sessions is subject to the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy. Where applicable, cancelled sessions may be deducted from your remaining hours.

4. Cancellation & Statutory Rights

My Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy forms part of these Terms.

Depending on how you book, you may have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. Where applicable, this takes precedence over my standard cancellation policy.

If you ask me to start the service during this period, you may be required to pay for services already provided, where permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

5. Client Responsibilities

You must provide safe access to the property and tell me about any relevant hazards, pets, access difficulties or fragile/valuable items.

You remain responsible for all decisions about your possessions. I will only remove or dispose of items with your permission.

6. Health, Safety & Safeguarding

I will work with reasonable care and skill but will not handle hazardous materials or undertake work I reasonably consider unsafe.

I may pause or end a session if I consider the environment unsafe or if I experience threatening, abusive or intimidating behaviour.

If I become concerned about the safety or welfare of a child or vulnerable adult, I may share information with an appropriate person or authority where I consider this necessary or where required by law. In an emergency, I may contact the appropriate emergency service.

7. Liability

I take reasonable care of your belongings but cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by defects or weaknesses that were not reasonably apparent.

I am not responsible for items disposed of at your request.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or your statutory consumer rights.

I maintain appropriate business insurance, including public liability insurance.

8. Confidentiality & Privacy

I treat client and household information confidentially, except where disclosure is necessary to provide the service, protect someone from harm, comply with the law or as otherwise permitted by you.

Personal data is handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

9. Photography & Marketing

Before-and-after photographs will only be taken with your consent.

Marketing consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time. Your information will not be sold or shared with third parties for their marketing.

10. Intellectual Property

My branding, photographs, plans, checklists and resources remain my intellectual property. Materials provided to you are for personal use and may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

11. Complaints

Please contact me as soon as possible with any concerns so I have an opportunity to resolve them. This does not affect your statutory rights.

12. Changes & Governing Law

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Changes apply to future bookings and will not alter confirmed bookings unless required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
